Before and after a purchase, catch the same target for a short fixed set and note failures, catch time, and whether weight still blocks it. That provides a reproducible reason to continue or stop.
Do not present a lucky rare catch as proof that a rod is universally better; weather, boosts, and beta changes may also affect a session.
